Frequently asked questions
GST (Goods and Services Tax) is India's unified value-added tax, with rates from 3% to 28%. Most consumer goods fall under 12% or 18%.
For sales within a state, GST is split equally between the central government (CGST) and the state (SGST). Inter-state sales are charged as a single IGST instead.
